Investment

The Value of Photography

What Do You Mean

INVESTMENT?

I always used to wonder why photographers referred to their pricing as an “investment.”  When I was shopping for a wedding photographer, I thought that maybe it was a clever way to justify their prices.  Surely, I wasn’t going to make any money by choosing a photographer.  An investment has a return, right?

But then it hit me: The memories are the return.

Absolutely nothing will surpass the value of looking back on “the best day ever” exactly as it unfolded.  And this investment is paid back in laughter, and tears.  The return is passed on to family and friends, and passed down to children and grandchildren.

"Photography, like life, happens only in the present, and when we're at our best we practice a craft, and create art that points people to the most astonishing, beautiful and human moments- the ones that happen in a sliver, almost a moment within a moment, and are gone."

David Duchemin

Why Meet?

I love meeting new people and hearing their love story! The connection you have with your photographer is the most important one on your wedding day (well, the second most important). It’s always easier to ask questions and explain things in person.
